Recognizing the growing inter-connectivity of the Warmachine community globally, the organizers of the Warmachine Weekend Invitational and the European Invitational at ClogCon have entered into a partnership.  Beginning with the 2016 season, the winner of the European Invitational will be automatically granted a spot in the Warmachine Weekend Invitational.  This means that the winner of this year’s European Invitational will already be qualified for the Warmachine Weekend Invitational in November, 2016.

Along with this qualification will come free entrance to Warmachine Weekend and a $600 voucher to help defray travel costs.

Other qualification details are:

– The winner of the European Invitational will be treated like the winner of WMW (they have a spot but will need to earn points to move up the bracket)

– The spot is not transferable to another player
In addition, this year’s Warmachine Weekend Invitational winner will be invited to ClogCon 2016 to compete in a guaranteed spot in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) along with free entrance to the convention.

The organizers are very excited about this partnership and are confident that it will continue to foster the international competition that is growing in our hobby. Our goal is to find and highlight the best talent in our player bases and give these players the opportunity to compete against one another. What is the Warmachine Weekend and Warmachine Weekend Invitational?

Warmachine Weekend is one of the oldest Privateer Press centric gaming events and has been running without interruption each autumn since 2004. The event embraces three core gaming values: Community, Camaraderie, and Competition. These cornerstones allow the players to create and participate in an amazing and unique gaming experience.

To better serve the growing community of players, the event instituted the Invitational. The Invitational is a tournament that culls winning players from around the world to compete at the highest levels. Since its inception the Invitational has evolved to celebrate the best of our hobby.

The Warmachine Weekend Invitational will take place during Warmachine Weekend (Nov. 13-15, 2015 in St. Louis, Missouri). More information can be found at www.warmachineweekend.com and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/WMWeekend or @WMWeekend.

What is ClogCon and the European Invitational?

The Warmachine European Invitational is an invitation-only singles tournament which pairs the top players from around Europe to compete against one another in a demonstration of Europe’s best in the game of Warmachine and Hordes.

The Invitational is seeded through 16 Qualifier events which will take place during the course of 2015.  Qualifiers were chosen by seeking out the strongest events in multiple countries in the region throughout the course of the year.  The winner of each Qualifier earns a spot in the Invitational.  Alternate Qualifiers are also announced for each subregion within Europe in case the player who won a Qualifier cannot make the Invitational.  Qualified players will be seeded into a predetermined bracketed system to promote the interaction of various subregions within Europe.

ClogCon (Dec 11-13, 2015 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands) will host the 2015 Invitational.  ClogCon will also host a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) for the Invitational during the course of the event.  All Qualified players earn free admission to ClogCon.  Full rules and information can be found here.  In addition, ClogCon is a 3-day long American-styled gaming convention dedicated to Privateer Press games.  This means players can find non-stop casual and competitive events over three full days for just one single entrance fee.
